Your gift donation keeps on giving

Every item donated to Charlie’s Gift, Gifts that Give, will go towards supporting an older person in our community who feels alone and disconnected.

Whether you donate one item or many – we value your support.

How to donate a gift

You contact Charlie’s Gift and notify your wish to donate your handcrafted item(s).  We arrange for pick up or you are welcome to drop them off at our local office.  You provide Charlie’s Gift with the cost along with an image and description for each item. We then market your item via our Gifts that Give page on our website.

We then promote your donated item via our social media platforms.

Interested buyers have the option of purchasing the item(s) via our website or from us personally.  Buyers have the option of picking up their bought item from us or having it delivered by Charlie’s Gift within five working days.

We will notify you after each item is sold and contact you when all items are sold out.  You then have the option to donate more items or have us remove your item(s) from our page.

You will continue to be recognized for supporting Charlie’s Gift via our sponsorship and support pages.

How we show our appreciation

Every person who donates an item they created for Charlie’s Gift is acknowledged and promoted through our website and social media platforms.

This would be a fabulous opportunity to trial marketing your creative good locally.

We promote your generosity and community spirit immediately after an item is donated. We then launch a social media campaign marketing how your generosity and community support helps prevent an older person from experiencing long term loneliness and isolation.

We will also promote your donated item periodically through the year via our marketing and media campaigns, as well as during special occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas.

Your talents, support and generosity will continue to be recognised via the Sponsorship and Support pages of our website and annual reports.

Gifts donated from local businesses

Does your local business have products that are difficult to market?  Would you like the opportunity to increase your local business profile as well as being shown to support your community?

Would you like more exposure and marketing opportunities?  Are you thinking of starting a new local business or market to sell your goods but are unsure how to market them?

Donating one or more of your products to Charlie’s
Gift will not only increase your business profile within the community but also support local older people to age with confidence.

 

How to donate a gift from your business

You contact Charlies Gift and notify your wish to donate a product from your local business.  We arrange for pick up or you are welcome to drop off the products to our local office. We then market your local business and products via our Gifts that Give page on our website.

Once set up, Charlie’s Gift markets and promotes your local business and goods via our social media platforms.

Interested consumers have the option of purchasing the products) via our website or from us personally.  Local consumers then have the option of picking up their purchased item from us personally or having it delivered by Charlie’s Gift within five working days.

We will notify you after each product is sold and contact you when all products are sold out. If you are donating a percentage of the costs, you will receive an invoice (minus this percentage) for products sold at the end of each month.  Monies will then be transferred to your local business account same day.

Once all products are sold, you will have the option to donate more products or have us remove your product(s) from our Gifts that Give page.  We will then inform the community that your products can be purchased directly for your place of business with all your business details provided.

The support and generosity of your local will continue to be recognized via our websites, sponsorship and support pages and within our annual report.
