Catering and Connecting For Dying to Know You Day
We are so grateful to the hosts of the Dying to Know You (D2KU) Day held on 7 August 2022. Charlie’s Gift were invited to Cater for the day with all funding going towards our charity. It was a fabulous day with many information stalls run by fabulous people who all have a common passion. A passion to decrease stigma surrounding death, support and bring autonomy to end of life and establish a companionate community to support those who grieve the loss of a loved one.
Charlie’s Gift too are passionate that our older community have the support and resources needed to die in place or live their last days the way they choose. We have set up a Local Tribute page on our website with all ‘In Memory’ donations going directly to end of life support for our older community.
What a fabulous surprise
We were presented with the monies raised from hosting an information stall on the day. With this generous contribution we raised a total of $597.30 on the day.
Oh, and despite never catering for events before our food must have been pretty good. We were invited to cater again for their next event a few months later. Sadly, we were not in a position to do it but we were still thrilled to be asked.
