Charlie’s Gift was invited to help celebrate in the Lambton Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre’s official launch of their new website on 23 August 2022. Shelly Spalding, our founder, and Delia Hoffman attended the event and were welcomed with a fabulous brunch of home made dishes catered by the volunteers and multicultural patrons of the Centre.
The website features upcoming events, classes such as conversational English, chidlren’s playgroups and the community garden. Supported by a full translation service, the website helps draw Newcastle and LakeMacquarie’s wonderfully diverse community in an inclusive and safe internet environment.
The LMNC provide many programs and opportunities for our diverse community to connect. Delia, a valued volunteer with Charlie’s Gift also teaches English at the Centre. She appreciates the diversity of our older people and regularly sees the benefits gained when young and old connect in harmony.
